New Build, Aberdour

We were instructed by the client to advise on the proposed conversion of an existing garage site for redevelopment into retail use. The existing site was challenging, constrained and located within a conservation village.

The scheme required intense work and negotiation to provide for relocating the existing garage use, refurbishing an old stone hall and agreeing a layout for retail use taking account of the planning, conservation, roads and access issues.

We worked very closely with the client and local authority planning team to achieve a suitable solution.

Services included, architectural design, planning submission and statements, co-ordination of other design team members, development, cost and procurement advice and Principal Designer role.
