Fire Damage, Port Glasgow

An extensive fire to an end terrace residential property resulted in partial demolition of the two storey structure.  Due to concerns over the stability of the remaining structure the view was taken that the most cost effective approach would be to demolish and rebuild the property.

Kerr Baxter Associates were appointed to undertake tendering for the demolition and new build works, contract administration, CDM-Advisor and project management.

KBA secured both Planning Permission & Building Warrant consents for the new build property including reconfiguring the internal layout design to incorporate an accessible toilet to meet current legislation.

Following appointment of the contractor KBA maintained a regular presence on site ensuring key timescales were achieved and the project completion date was not delayed.
