Industrial Refurbishment, Cumbernauld

We were instructed by Hansteen Plc to act as Contract Administrators to undertake a complete external refurbishment of this 1960’s industrial estate to improve the external appearance.

Due to the age of the Estate many of the building elements were life expired with the Estate appearing tired and neglected.

A specification was prepared for the replacement of doors, windows, roller shutter vehicular doors, timber fascias, external redecoration and additional security measures.  Competitive quotations were obtained from direct suppliers to control costs.

The project was competitively tendered and thereafter monitored on site to completion.  Works were undertaken on a phased basis.

As many of the units were occupied, on site liason with tenants ensured minimum disruption by co-ordinating the works to suit their operations.

On completion of the works, the external appearance was significantly improved and the Landlord managed to re-let the vacant properties and regear leases with existing tenants. 

The project was delivered on time and within budget.
