We acted on behalf of the tenant, Brittania Movers International PlcĀ  to defend a substantial dilapidations claim served by the landlord under the terms and conditions of an FRI lease on an industrial unit.

We negotiated the claim against the landlords Building Surveyor and reached a cash settlement which was 70% lower than the suggested head of claim.

The negotiations were protracted and the tenant agreed to instigate essential repair works prior to reaching a cash settlement for outstanding works as this proved more cost effective prior to lease expiry.
